Fr. Jayson confirmed anew as Provincial Superior

Rev. Fr. Jayson DC. Endaya, OSJ has been confirmed by the Superior General, Rev.Fr. Jan Pelczarski, OSJ. This would be his third term at the helm of the Province. His selection was based on the consultation held on December 9, 2021 at the Marello Retreat House, Tagaytay City.

The Superior General has personally called Fr. Jayson to confirm his new term. Then a protocol was issued by the Secretary General, Rev. Fr. Francesco Russo, OSJ announcing his appointment together with the other superiors of the various provinces and delegation of the Congregation.

Fr. Jayson will be leading the Province again until March 14, 2025.




Two OSJ juniors profess the vows perpetually

The Province witnessed the perpetual profession of Bro. Euricho Raphael Maralit, OSJ and Bro. Cedrick del Mundo, OSJ on January 24, 2022 at the Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Joseph the Patriarch, San Jose, Batangas. Their profession was accepted by Rev. Fr. Jayson Endaya, OSJ, Provincial Superior.

Bro. Cedrick hails from San Juan City. He is the second son of Mr. Dionisio del Mundo, Jr. and Mrs. Rosalinda Epres-del Mundo. He found his vocation while serving as a Marello's Altar Knight at Santuario de San Jose, Greenhills East, Mandaluyong City. After graduating from high school in 2010 at Camp Crame High School, Quezon City, he entered the college seminary as an orientandus. He then earned his AB Philosophy at the Oblates of St. Joseph College of Philosophy in Lipa City, Batangas. Then he entered the postulancy on May 14, 2015 and the novitiate on May 20, 2016. The following year, May 20, 2017, he professed the religious vows for the first time at the L'Annunziata Parish Church, Victoria Homes, Muntinlupa City. He spent his immersion year at the Oblates of St. Joseph Minor Seminary. He has already completed the two-year bachelor degree in Theology at the Divine Word Seminary-Tagaytay. At present, he is a graduating student of an ecclessiastical degree in theology.

Bro. Euricho is from Ibaan, Batangas. He is the eldest son of Mr. Reynaldo Maralit and Mrs. Rosita Añonuevo-Maralit. He found his vocation while serving as a Marello's Altar Knight at the St. James the Greater Parish and as a student of St. James Academy, both in Ibaan, Batangas. After graduating from high school in 2010, he entered the college seminary as an orientandus. He then earned his AB Philosophy at the Oblates of St. Joseph College of Philosophy in Lipa City, Batangas. Then he entered the postulancy on May 14, 2015 and the novitiate on May 20, 2016. Fr. Jeff, the newly ordained OSJ priest

Within the solemn celebration of Holy Eucharist, Rev. Fr. Jeffrey Tobeo Dinglasan, OSJ has been ordained by His Excellency, Most Rev. Gilbert A. Garcera, DD, Archbishop of Lipa at the Archdiocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Joseph the Patriarch, San Jose, Batangas on January 24, 2022.

Fr. Jeff is from Brgy. Pinagsibaan, Rosario, Batangas. He is the eldest son of Mr.Jaime Dinglasan and Mrs. Nenita Tobeo-Dinglasan. Being a student of Santo Rosario Academy in Alupay, Rosario, Batangas, he found his calling to the priesthood. He entered the college seminary as an Orientandus in 2009. He finished his philosophical studies at the Oblates of St. Joseph College of Philosophy in 2004. He then entered the Postulancy on May 10, 2014 and the novitiate on May 14, 2015. Completing this stage of formation, he professed the vows for the first time on May 21, 2016. He was installed as Lector on August 5, 2017 and as Acolyte on August 1, 2019, both at the St. Joseph Chapel of the Oblates of St. Joseph House of the Junior Professed, Amadeo, Cavite. Then he made his perpetual profession of the vows on January 23, 2021 also at the same chapel. He was ordained deacon by Most Rev. Reynaldo Evangelista, DD, Bishop of Imus, on June 12, 2021. For his pastoral preparation, he was sent to serve at the San Francisco de Asis Parish, Brgy. Tagakpan, Tugbok District, Davao City. After his ordination to the priesthood, he continues to assist in this parish.

Province elects new set of Provincial Councilors

The Province gathered together to elect the new set of Provincial Councilors who will assist the Provincial Superior, Rev. Fr. Jayson Endaya, OSJ, from March 14, 2022 to March 14, 2025.

Elected were: Rev. Fr. Arnold Rosal, OSJ as Vicar Provincial and First Provincial Councilor; Fr. Faiq Edmerson Quinto, OSJ, Second Provincial Councilor; Fr. Nelson Osorio, OSJ, Third Provincial Councilor; and Rev. Fr. Edcel Silva, OSJ, Fourth Provincial Councilor.

Fr. Arnold is at present the Rector and Parish Priest of St. James the Greater Parish, Ibaan, Batangas. Fr. Faiq is at present the Rector of the Oblates of St. Joseph College Seminary, Lipa City, Batangas. Fr. Nelson currently serves as Parish Priest of L'Annunziata Parish, Victoria Homes, Muntinlupa City. Fr. Edcel Silva is assigned as Parish Priest of San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish, Brgy. Wawa, Bayambang, Pangasinan.
