                                                                 HUMILITY

            01

Let us pray that on us too may rise in beauty and
                        brightness
resurrection. (Letters 30) the long-awaited day of our

          02
On our beloved dead, who have ended their earthly
days in the peace of the Lord, Luceat perpetua lux in
regno coelorum: may eternal light shine in the kingdom
        of Heaven. (Letters 278)

        03
Even if during the struggle we find ourselves without any
good feeling but are rather in the throes of a great
reluctance to fight on, we must not for that matter be
discouraged. It is precisely then that the Lord wants to test us by
having us act only on faith. It is that thread of faith that must save us
and that will be amply rewarded in Heaven. (Writings 347)

        04
Let us learn to remain in that perfect peace of mind which
is such a great help in doing good; and let us always
maintain such a frame of mind as to be ready for
anything, without ever becoming upset. (Writings 237)

        05
We must see all things in the light of faith. We must at all
times let reason control our feelings and the will of God
control our reason; we must accept everything from the
hands of God, the things that we enjoy as well as the things that we
don’t like, and always with the response: Deo gratias. (Writings 237)
