Up until now there are still many
people donating and volunteering
themselves for the sake of the
well-being of others. I have seen
the diligence of our parishioners
and the volunteers in preparing
foods and aiding the needy ones.
And with all of these, I really want
to thank the people who have
been with me during these trying
times: Bro. Rondick who has been
accompanying me in my healing
sessions; Jerome, and all of the
brothers and priests, and all of our
local and international friends who
have helped us making these things
successful.
How do you take care of your
physical and mental health?
Taking care of my mental health is
as important as taking care of my
physical health. This is the reason
why in this time of pandemic, I have
engaged myself in doing different
exercises to support my body and
maintain the stability of my mind in
order to do the things that I ought
to do as a parish priest.
Basketball has become my main
sport nowadays but brisk walking
is what really helped me in
maintaining my physical health. Just
to share, as I do this interview, I am
just walking around my room just as
what I do during my praying over
and counseling people by phone. I
do not just sit, I walk around. Taking
vitamin C has also helped me a lot in
strengthening my body.
With regard to my mental health,
I try my best not to think negative
things which will make me worry a
lot. I combine this with prayer and
helping others cope up through
my prayer apostolate. This is really
important because maintaining
a healthy mind is maintaining a
healthy body.
